Why is my question… Do they really see a lot of value in this deal? Quite seriously, they have a lot of cash cows around to get them through for next 5 years! Should they not put their resources on putting up a new skunkworks shop for a new OS and office tools from scratch (new thinking and more efficient and non-bloated approach and end results). They should look at making all their tools available via the net in a effective and faster manner. And most importantly, use existing technologies like flash and AJAX for doing this and not developing its own version of everything (Silver Light, anybody).

But no, its MS… will do whatever it takes to buy Yahoo and make this another one for the history books to write about in that chapters called biggest blunders in corporate and strategic history!

A brilliant ad but then, given the whole Sahara situation with the deposits, they should have more concentrated on the whole getting the brand more credibility and with no major international collaboration on the service, I am not really sure how will this get them any business… for insurance is more about trust than great products and even better advertising!

The commercial talks about being what you always wanted to be! Really like the theme but the issue with the whole ad is that I can’t understand where is it going throughout the ad. Different visuals, different themes… really does not go along in one stream.  Not really sure, but as much as I like the original Titan tune but can’t take this one on my liked list. Misses the whole emotional attachment which Titan has always been known about.

For some reason like this song, ishq bector has done a good job on this one. just catches on and you like listening to it. Do not get carried away will change the channel if it plays this one but lets be sure… will not play this on my own!

I just saw the first trailers on television: All about 3 losers Ritesh D. (yeah correct the damn name), Anupam Kher, and Rajpal Yadav. Looks like a cheap-thrills comedy. Not watching it ever. And the newest member of the ‘Won’t-Swipe’ category.

PS: The song being played along is a nice catch no. and gets you hooked (yeah kinda forgetting the name ;p)

Saw the trailer during KungFu Panda. And though the trailer looks good… not really sure if it will be as good as the first one (actually was not really a huge fan of the first either). Not sure what more can the movie give… Not even on my ‘Swipe-Regular’ List. Sorry boss, will watch it once it comes on DVD or ‘Swipe-@-Flix’!

Somehow all major studios have failed to come-up with credible super-hero sequels which are not dark and scary! They all take the superhero stuff from a sensible family movie to the adults-only and not-really-sure-superhero movie. And the latest in the series is Batman. If the ‘Batman Begins’ was not bad enough with Gotham City being turned into an ever-eclipsed city and crime running wild, ‘The Dark Knight’ takes it even further. I have no clue as to how it plays out in the movie, but not really sure if I am going to like it. But then, will have to see it to come up with an answer to the same. And will do! Starts playing this weekend and will most probably watch the same along with ‘Kismet Konnection’ as a ‘Swipe-Regular’!

Saw the first trailers of the movie during the Hancock interval. Comes across as a movie which is very close to the ‘Die Another Day’ version although a lot more voilent, less sophisticated and one with a Bond which is lot more dark than in any other bond movie I have see. Really loved it when Q says

The movie is on my entertainment schedule for 7/11/08 weekend - essentially a ‘Swipe-Regular’ list.

Daniel Craig looks good but not even close to what he looked in his first-time-around as Bond. And, I have no idea who the bond girl is… would love to see the pic and the rest of her in the movie!

Did not see the race. Saw the F1.com review video. My takeaways:

• The race that bought strategy and condition reading to the fore and taught that you still need to use your brains post qualifying
• Kubica is going strong and will give the Hamilton and Ferrari’s a serious run for their money
• Kovalainen after a strong start to the season is going down-hill and pretty fast
• Again for Renault, race does not even start until Qualifying ends, so work on the race and not getting great Qualifying times
• Mclaren have no chance at contructors - My Bet is on BMW Sauber and not Ferrari

As next we move to, I don’t remember but with a 4 way tie at the top it’s getting to be a pretty amazing season

One heck of a funny movie… you start the laughing the moment the movie starts and keep laughing till the end of the same.

One Panda that dreams of Kungfu, 5 animals preparing to be the dragon-master… and one master still trying to understand the real meaning of being a teacher. And, add to that SKG combo, and you have a definite must-watch and a ‘Swipe-A-DVD’ member!

The animation is real and everything is picture perfect and beautiful. Just go and watch! and you will understand why I say so!
