After all the talks of Magny-cours not hosting the French GP, we had the GP here and what a dominant performance it was from Ferrari. My key takeaways:

The latest round of romours suggest that Euro-Disney outside Paris may host the French GP starting 2010. Gives everything Eccelstone wanted from the French GP: Glamour, Distance and all the elements of Fun. And you can have ‘Lighting McQueen’ - McLaren showdown. And what would they call it… FIA and 10 flying cars?

Thursday was the last practice day pre-race weekend. The session gives you a good peak into the setup being run by the teams for this street circuit. The first session belonged to Ferrari and Raikkonen, with just under 1:16 a lap. Hamilton was a close second with 2/10ths of a second behind.
